To Draw Sugar From involves a lion’s mane mushroom, also known by the names mountain-priest and bearded tooth, Anxiety and sadness are known to be lessened with the help of lion's mane. This mushroom lived in a museum space where the light is strong and the air is cold, and needed extra support to grow. Gallery attendants and a friend's clothing gave the mushroom warmth and darkness. A provisional substance made of charms became nourishment for the mycelium. The first mushroom to grow here died.
